Patti Loach biography

Patti Loach is a pint-sized, flaxen-haired dynamo, whose fingers have flown across piano keys since she was six years old.

A graduate of both the Royal Conservatory of Music and the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music, she initially trained as a classical pianist but quickly fell in love with a colourful array of more-contemporary genres – including musical theatre, the Great American Songbook, and the anything-goes, wild-and-wonderful world of cabaret – which helped her fine-tune her skills, hone her artistry and truly flourish as a performer.

Described by Toronto Star critic Richard Ouzounian as “a chameleon of the keyboard, playing brilliantly in so many different styles,” Patti is an engaging storyteller, a decent cook, a mediocre clarinet player, avid cyclist, devoted wife to trumpet player John Loach, mother and friend, whose piano-playing prowess is rivalled only by her innate collaborative spirit.
